unsent message to Alexis
Hey.
Hi Alex.
I just want to say that I’m sorry if I’ve been acting like an ass lately. And I know that you have no idea why this is happening, but I wanted to write down everything before it goes away forever. That are the unsent message to Alexis
I know you think I’m mad and probably not talking to you right now because of it, but you’re wrong. I’m not mad at all. I’m pretty happy with how things turned out this evening.
“Hey, it’s me again. I’m sorry about how things turned out this evening, but I’m sure you had a lot of other things on your mind and weren’t really paying attention to what I was saying anyway. It doesn’t matter because everything is okay now.”
This is a good way for you to start an email that might be sent by mistake or maybe even meant for someone else entirely (like someone else at the office). You could also use this as an opening line if there was something funny about the situation that happened earlier in the day or at night (like when someone falls asleep during their shift).
Getting caught by your parents wasn’t ideal, and we had to run out of there like a couple of burglars, but I had fun hanging out with you. unsent message to Alexis.
Getting caught by your parents wasn’t ideal, and we had to run out of there like a couple of burglars, but I had fun hanging out with you. School is hard for me, and it’s normally such a chore to wake up in the mornings and go through my day with no one to talk to. But tonight was different, even if only for a few minutes.
I know it may seem silly or petty—but there are so many things that make up our lives as people: whether it be hobbies or interests; how much money we make/spend; what kind of clothes we wear; where we live/go on vacation…and these are just some examples! If someone knows all of them, then they might be able to tell how well off their friends are financially compared with themselves, too…and since most people don’t care about those things (especially since they’re usually not directly responsible), why should anyone else bother knowing either?
Anyway, I thought it might be nice to write an email instead of just… typing it into my computer and not sending it. This way, you can look back on it whenever you want. So yeah… here goes nothing.

I’m sure you’ve heard this line before, but I’ll say it anyway:
- Don’t get caught up in the possibility of rejection.
- Don’t be afraid to say what you mean.
- Don’t be afraid to take risks.
- Don’t be afraid of being vulnerable and/or honest (and if all else fails, just let go).
Hey Alexis 🙂 Your mom was pretty cool tonight too! Seems like a nice lady 😛
Alexis, you may be thinking that your mom is old and weird. Maybe she’s not a great conversationalist, or she doesn’t seem like the type of person who wants to talk with someone her age. But don’t let this stop you! You should feel free to ask questions and explore different topics with your mother—you never know what will come from it! Even if nothing comes out of it, it was nice for both of you to get together like this for once! Remember: people are always available for conversation; don’t be afraid that someone might not want anything more than talking about their day-to-day routine with them (which could be boring).
Just say what you mean instead of getting caught up in the possibility of rejection.
So, you’re writing to your crush. You want to tell her how much you like her or ask if she wants to hang out sometime. But what if she doesn’t think of you in those terms? What if it’s just not mutual?
Well, then, don’t worry about it! If that’s the case and she doesn’t feel the same way, no harm done—you’ll never know till someone tells us whether or not they liked our article. And even if they did like it… well… maybe they just didn’t know how good we are at writing things down on tiny pieces of paper (or whatever).
Conclusion
I’m not mad at all. I’m pretty happy with how things turned out this evening. Getting caught by your parents wasn’t ideal, and we had to run out of there like a couple of burglars, but I had fun hanging out with you. I can’t remember the last time I felt that way about someone… maybe ever?
