What happened in season 9 episode 20?
Chicago PD has doled out some grim stories in season 9. It makes sense, given the trauma that all of the characters have had to endure over the course of the show, and the concessions they’ve had to make for the greater good.
The latest episode of the show, “Memory”, is in line with the season 9 theme of trauma and the ghosts of the past. The team is forced to revisit a cold case with ties to the modern day, and the parallels between the case and the personal lives of the cops lead to some tense scenes.

What occurred on Chicago PD the previous evening? (May eleventh)
The episode opens with probably the most bizarre case in the show’s set of experiences. A more seasoned couple is tracked down and killed in their bed, however, the occasions paving the way to their demises have the group scratching their heads. The couple ate, were given a detergent shower, and read a sleep time story in their last hours, which adjusted flawlessly with a virus case going back twenty years.
The virus case included a kid named Daniel, who was found at a rest stop after likewise being given a sanitizer shower. The subtleties encompassing the case were scant, however, driving the police to excuse Daniel’s cases and do minimal investigating suspects.
Daniel is currently an upstanding grown-up with a family, however, his memory of the kidnapping is excessively whimsical to be fully trusted. He depicts birds and blossoms and “pink residue” that tumbled off the roof, and keeping in mind that Burgess (Marina Squerciati) accepts him, she additionally fears that his memory could be broken.
Burgess and Ruzek (Patrick Flueger) take the lead on the case, and they can’t help but liken the trauma that Daniel experienced to the trauma that Makayla (Ramona Edith Willaims) is currently dealing with. The duo work through their anxieties and manage to track down a suspect who was working on the building where Daniel was supposedly held captive.
They eventually discover that the man, Jim, killed Daniel’s parents, and the remains were hidden away for years. The discovery not only corroborates Daniel’s memories but allows him to make peace with the past in a way that had previously seemed impossible. spoilers Chicago PD!
